Funnel cake

Funnel cake reminds me of summer fun at carnivals. The games, rides and the food. Have fun with this recipe.It doesn’t have to be the perfect circular shape. Get a squeeze bottle and go crazy.

2 cups of milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon of  vanilla
1teaspoon of salt
2 cups of  all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 tablespoon of sugar

1/2 stick of butter melted

Powdered sugar
Things you need

  • Deep wide frying pan
  • spider skimmer
  • funnel
  • squeeze bottle                          

Paper towel soaks up oil
Love it.

Service about 6-8 
Combine milk, egg, and vanilla in large bowl. In separate bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda, and sugar. 
Gradually add wet ingredients. Beat with mixer until a smooth batter forms. Fold in melted butter. Pour batter in squeeze pour using a funnel.Heat oil about a inch and a half at 375.{ If you don’t have a thermometer heat oil for 6-8 mins.Take a piece of bread drop in the oil , if it sizzle real well it’s ready.} Once oil is heated squeeze bottle slowly and carefully into sprial shape or what ever shape you like. Cook for 2-3 mins or until gold, brown and puffed remove with spider skimmer and place on paper towels to soak up the oil. sprinkle powder sugar and enjoy
