Blueberry trifle shots

Instead of making plain old blueberry pie {which I love} opt for something a little different.
Blueberry bourbon trifle shots.You can make these fab shots two different ways. Family friendly or alcohol friendly.{Anything with bourbon makes me happy.} Both are really delicious.
Crumbled pound cake

Add blueberry sauce

 Add another layer of cake, blueberry sauce and crushed cookies

Add whipping cream and mascarpone cheese mixture.

2 cups of blueberry sauce
1/2 cup of mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup of whipping cream
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
10 crushed sugar cookies
6-8 slices of pound cake crumbled
2 tablespoons of sugar

Same ingredients just drizzle 3 tablespoons of bourbon over pound before crumbling it. Or add  2-3 tablespoons to the blueberry sauce one at a time and stir after each addition.

makes about 6-8 shots {depending on size}

In bowl place whipping cream and mascarpone and add sugar, vanilla . Whip together until you see soft peaks.

Assemble trifle 
Place 1-2 tablespoon  crumbled cake in bottom of glass. Then on top of that place 1-2 tablespoons of blueberry sauce. Repeat once more with crumbled cake and blueberry sauce. Add a teaspoon of crushed cookies. Next add the whipping cream and mascarpone mixture. Repeat for each shot glass. Chill for 4-7 hours. Before serving place sprinkle the rest of the cookies on top of each shot.
