Chocolate chip loaf cake

I’m live  new york and we just had a major snow storm. { it’s 25 degrees where I live } Nothing is really open. I decided to make this make  this beautiful loaf cake. If you are stuck inside like me, { or you just have a serious sweet tooth like me}give this recipe a try.



1/14 cups of flour
1/4 cups of cake flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of mini chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 1/2 eggs
1/2 cup of buttermilk
1 stick of butter

Crumb topping

3/4 cup of flour
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of powder sugar { depends on how much you want on top of cake}
1 cup of mini chocolate chips
3/4 cup of butter chopped in chunks
1 teaspoon of butter extract

Crumb topping
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar. With a knife cut butter and blend with flour and  sugar mixture. Add butter extract, and crumble together with hands until you have a nice crumb topping.Set aside. {don’t over crumble}

Preheat oven at 350 .
Grease a loaf pan 9 x 13.Or line it parchment paper.

Shift flours, baking soda and powders. Cream butter with a mixer until nice and smooth. Add in sugar a little at a time and beat well after each addition. Add in egg and beat well. Mix in vanilla extract. Then add in flours, baking powder and baking soda a little at a time. Do the same with buttermilk. Once mixture is blended well then add in 2 cups of mini chips. Place mixture in loaf pan, make sure it’s evenly spread. Then
sprinkle crumb topping on top of mixture and bake for 50-60 mins. Remove from oven, cool for 5 mins then place the remaining mini chips on top. Let cool completely and remove from pan. Then sprinkle powder sugar on top and your ready to serve .
