Easy Honey Whiskey Cake

Easy Honey Whiskey Cake

If you are looking for something special to make this week you must try this recipe.
It’s a great treat to try for valentine’s day. Or if you you just like a little alcohol mix with treat. You can actually make a a day or two before serving it to let the delicious honey whiskey soak in the cake to give it a nice kick. Trust me it’s worth it.

1 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup of butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of butter extract
1 1/2 cups of flour {shifted}
1 3/4 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 cup of milk
1/4 cup of  Jack Daniels Honey whiskey
{or box mix and add the whiskey to the blended mix}

1/2 cup of butter melted
1 1/2 cups of whiskey
2-4 cups of powder sugar{depends on how much glaze you want}
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Preheat oven at 375
Lightly grease pan .you can use:  9 x 9 square pan, two round tins or loaf pans
In large bowl, cream together butter and sugar and add eggs one at a time. Mix until batter is fluffy. Then add in flour and whiskey and mix well. Bake for-30- 35 mins . Remove from oven and let cool.

Beat melted butter and 1 1/ cups of whiskey in large bowl with mixer and add powder sugar.Whisk until smooth. You cake poke holes in the cake and pour icing glaze over the cake and let it set. Or just simply drizzle glaze over cake without poking holes. Again I have made this cake like two to three days in advance and let the glaze soak in, it gives it lots of flavor. Serve as you like .
