Swirl of sugar and chocolate cookie

Who does not like a giant cookie skillet cookie ? It’s sooo good. You can eat it while it’s still warm and gooey.  You can slice it like a pie.  {the big the piece the better it is.}Put some cool whip, { I like mine frozen, tastes like ice cream.} put some marshmallows and a couple chocolate chips on top. It’s delightful

Pan sizes for dough
Small skillet:  1/2 cup of each dough for this size pan
med. skillet: 1 cup of each dough for this pan
larg. skillet:1 1/2 cup each dough

You can used store brought mix or frozen cookie dough

Sugar cookies

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, vanilla and almond extract. Combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt ; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.


Double chocolate cookies

  • 1-1/4 cups butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Preheat oven at 350, and spray skillet with oil.
  • Take 1 cup of each dough and form into 1 large ball.
  • Press firmly into skillet. And bake for 10-15 mins or until golden brown. Take it out and let cool for a bit cool.
  • Top it off any way you like. I used some frozen cool whip, marshmallows, and chocolate chips.
