This is a fun Easter treat that I love to do every year. So easy and fun for the kids to play with.  Wilton Pearlized sprinkles , cookie icing and candy melts help make this a fab fun family treat !

Rice Krispie Easter treats




TOTAL TIME:15 mins

PREP TIME:5 mins

COOK TIME:10 mins



3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine

40 large marshmallows (or 4 cups mini-marshmallows)

6 cups Rice Krispies

White & pink  pearlized Sprinkles

½ cup Wilton Candy Melts white, bright pink,

Cookie Icings  pink & white



1.In a large microwave safe bowl, heat butter and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth.

2. Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until coated.

3. Press mixture into 13 x 9 inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cut with cookie cutter shapes  when cool.

4. Once cooled,melt white candy melts spread on top of the rice krispie treats, immediately sprinkle pearlized Sprinkles on top. Place in fridge for 10 minutes to set the candy melts, once set using bunny or egg cookie cutter cut into desired shape.

5. Using cookie Icings { any color pink, white, or  yellow} to outline the shape of the bunny. And to decorate egg. Let it dry before serving.

Cookie Friday: peanut butter M&M cookie sandwiches

Welcome to the  first Cookie Friday of the year. I had to take a couple of days off this week, I wasn’t feeling to good . But, I’m back ! And I’m giving you a double dose of Peanut butter. With this recipe. Peanut butter M&M cookie sandwiches. A creamy peanut butter filling YUMMY ! You will need an EXTRA TALL GLASS OF MILK.

Cookie Friday: Peanut butter M&M cookie



Prep Time: 10 mins

Makes about 30


2 cups m&m’s

2 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup butter

1 1/2 cups peanut butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup white sugar
2 eggs

1  3/4 cup of peanut butter for filling


1.Preheat oven to 350
2.Cream together butters and sugars. Add the eggs and vanilla, beat well. Combine the flour and baking soda, mix into the creamed mixture.
3.Fold in 1 1/2 cups of the m&m’s with a spoon, being careful not to break the candies.
Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place on {lightly spray with oil }cookie sheet. Place a couple of m&m’s on top of each cookie. Bake for 10 minutes, or until it’s light golden brown.
4.Remove from the oven, and let sit on the cookie sheet for a few mins. and transfer cookies to cooling rack to finish cooling.
5.Take a teaspoon of peanut butter and place on flat side of 1 cookie, place another cookie on top and repeat until finish.

If you are not in the Christmas spirit these red velvet cookie bars will get you there. I have been making them  for the last 3 years. By the way,  a nice hot toddy or hot chocolate, goes really well with this. The hot toddy was perfect last night for the T.V foodie night with scandal. Have a great weekend !

Red velvet cookie bars

1 box of sugar cookie mix

1/3 cup of  unsweetened cocoa

1/4 cup of butter  softened

1 tablespoon of red food coloring

1/4 cup of cup sour cream

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

30-50 peppermint candies crushed

 Cream cheese frosting

4 ounces unsalted butter, softened

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon of peppermint extract


  1. Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, cocoa, butter, sour cream, food color and egg until soft dough forms.
  2. Form dough into a giant ball and press firmly in 9 x 13 pan lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 12-19 min or until toothpick comes out clean. Take out and cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer. With the mixer on low speed, add the powdered sugar a cup at a time until smooth and creamy. Beat in the vanilla extract and peppermint extract. And set aside.
  5. Once bars are cool , frost with cream cheese, and sprinkle with crushed peppermints. And serve.

Chocolate S’mores martini

Thirsty Tuesday’s S’mores martini

Anything chocolate works for me . So chocolate + alcohol = Goodness  ! I like to call it a Dirty chocolate martini Enjoy !


3 ounces Smirnoff fluffed vodka
1 1/2 ounces creme de cacao
3/4 ounce of kahlua 
3 ounces vanilla creamer 
2 teaspoons of melted chocolate
graham crakers


1.Rim two martini glasses with graham crackers, by coating 

the rim with crème de cacao and then dipping in a 

shallow plate filled with graham crackers. Or instead of 

graham crackers coat it with cocoa powder.

2.Pour 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate in the bottom of 

each glass Set aside.

3.In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine vodka, crème 

de cacao, Kahlua and creamer. Shake to combine.

4.Using a strainer, pour into two prepared martini glasses

  For garnish dip marshmallow  in cocoa powder. Serve and

Skinny cherry chocolate chip brownie batter dip

Truwhip-Skinny Chocolate cherry brownie batter dip

 Two easy steps for a  easy skinny chocolate treat. This delicious dip is ready in less then 10 minutes. 5 simple  ingredients, that you probably already have in your kitchen, 2 easy steps. I added cherry coke to give it a hint of cherry flavor. Low-fat yogurt, low-fat brownie mix and Truwhip.

This yummy wasit-slimming dip has Truwhip. Truwhip is a natural frozen topping but with less fat or calories. Truwhip light has only 25 calories per serving and 30 calories for the original. And it’s only 2 grams of sugar per serving. This truly delicious dip goes with fresh fruit, This graham crackers and pretzels.


2 cups of Truwhip {thawed}
2 cups of  light yogurt 
1 8 oz. of low fat brownie mix
1 Tablespoon of diet cherry coke soda
1/2 cup of mini-chocolate chips

1. Mix 2 cups of yogurt and 2 cups of Truwhip, in a large bowl with mixer.
2. Slowly mix in the brownie mix and diet soda, a little at a time.

That’s it ! Easy and Quick.

Banana whoopie pies with cream cheese filling

I just got my  pie pans whoopie, and realized I haven’t made any in a few months. My aunt is a Whoopie pie addict so I try to come with a bunch of flavoring to put together.This recipe is moist with a delicious cream cheese filling. I put in 2 tablespoons of banana pudding mix.  I, also have a maple banana  whoopie pie with Nutella filling that is outrageous ! Look for that in a couple of weeks.

Bake time: 8-12 mins
Prep time: 35 mins
Preheat oven: 350
Whoopie Pie pan Opt.

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mashed banana (from 1 large ripe banana)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar4 ounces (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar, plus more for dusting
  • 2 tablespoons of banana dry pudding mix



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a bowl. Combine banana and sour cream in another bowl.


  1. Beat butter and granulated and brown sugars with a mixer on medium-high speed, until pale and creamy, about 3 minutes. Add egg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, beating until incorporated. Add banana and pudding mixture in 2 additions, alternating with flour mixture.


  1. Transfer batter to a pastry bag fitted with a 1/4-inch plain tip. Pipe batter into 1 1/4-inch rounds on baking sheets, spacing rounds 1 1/2 inches apart.


  1. Bake until edges are golden, about 12 minutes. Slide parchment, with cookies, onto wire racks. Let cool. (Unfilled cookies can be stored for up to 1 day.)


  1. Beat cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, and remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla with a mixer on medium speed until smooth, about 2 minutes.

Pipe or spoon 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture onto the flat sides of half the cookies. Sandwich with remaining cookies.

Homemade chocolate Snickers ice cream

Get your ice cream makers ready, because you are gonna want to make this delicious homemade snickers ice cream ! This chocolatey homemade chocolate ice cream recipe has cocoa, bittersweet chocolate and  chopped Snickers . It will definitely satisfy you chocolate needs ! 

Makes : 11-13 serving 
Prep. Time : 20-25 mins
Overall Time : 2 hrs-2 hrs-45 mins.


  • 1 1/3 cups sugar 
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 3 1/2 cups 2% reduced-fat milk, divided 
  • large egg yolks 
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half 
  • 2 1/2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped 
  • 1/2 bag of chopped bite-size  snickers


  1. 1. Combine 1 1/3 cups sugar and 1/3 cup cocoa in a medium, heavy saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring well with a whisk.Stir in 1/2 cup milk and egg yolks. Stir in remaining 3 cups milk. Cook 12 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  2. 2.Place half-and-half in a medium microwave-safe bowl; microwave at high 1 1/2 minutes or until half-and-half boils. 
  3. Add 2 1/2 ounces chocolate; stir until smooth. Stir half-and-half mixture into milk mixture. Place pan in a large ice-filled 
  4. bowl. Cool completely, stirring occasionally. 

  1. 3.Pour mixture into the freezer can of an ice-cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions. Spoon ice 
  2. cream into a freezer-safe container. Take chopped snickers and  stir into ice cream. Cover and freeze 1 hour or until 

firm. Place into serving dish and serve. save a little bit of the snickers and use for garnish.

Skinny dark chocolate mousse

If you are looking for a waist-line friendly mousse, look no further. In 3 steps you can make this ultra fab treat. With 5 ingredients that you probably have in the kitchen right now.
I used greek yogurt for a little extra flavor and to add a little thickness to it. 

Prep. 15 mins.
overall time 15 mins.
5-6 servings Depending on serving dish


1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips

1 1/2 cup of chocolate cool whip {thawed}

1 1/2 cup of skim milk

1 box of instant chocolate fudge pudding

3 tablespoon of fat-free greek honey vanilla yogurt


1. In  small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of the milk and the

 chocolate chips. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly,

 until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well


2.In medium bowl, combine remaining 1 1/4 cups milk and

 pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk for 1 to 2 minutes or until

 mixture is well blended and thickened; stir in yogurt.

3.Blend melted chocolate into pudding mixture; fold in 

whipped topping. Spoon into individual dessert dishes. Top

each serving with additional whipped topping and 

raspberries. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving

time. Store covered in refrigerator.
